125 GERMAN PLANES SHOT DOWN
London, March 9. Of 125 German aircraft destroyed yesterday by the United States Strategic Air Forces in the Berlin raid. 42 were shot down by the bombtrs and 83 by the fighters. A German High Command commulique claimed that 140 American planes were shot down in Monday’s hid. A communique claims that 112 were shot down in yesterday’s raid.
