TIMARU TROTS ABANDONED
(P.A.) Timaru, March 8. Owing to the tightening of the transport restrictions, the Timaru Trotting Club has been compelled to abandon its meeting on Saturday. It was decided to apply for a new date if the restrictions are lifted. MANAWATU ACCEPTANCES TO-NIGHT Owners and trainers are reminded Ufriat acceptances for the Manawatu Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Awapuni on Satuiday week, also final payment for the Sires' Produce Stakes, are duo to close with the secretary (Miss Buchanan) at 8 p.m. to-night.
