Nice Replies. "We get some very nice replies from Parliament, but they are not very satisfactory,’’ said Mrs. M. A. Five new consumers were connected with the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board last month, it was reported at the monthly meeting yesterday. This brings the total number of consumers up to 12,371. The board’s district includes Wanganui, Marton. Hunterville, Bulls, Waverley, and Taihape.

Tower Revenue. it was reported at the monthly meet.ng of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board yesterday that returns from February meter readings totalled £9617. This corersponds with about the same amount which was received in February last year. The revenue for the year so far shows an increase of about £4OOO.

Regulations Revoked. Revocation of the Citrus Fruit Regulations, 1940, was gazetted last night. Actually, the provisions of these regulations were never strictly observed and, since the fixing of prices of citrus fruits by the Price Tribunal, the regulations have become redundant and, therefore, have been revoked.

Help In The Home. "Would the Minister make a statement on the progress made with the Government scheme for providing help in the home?" asked Mr. J. T. Watts (Opp., Riccarton) in a notice of a question in the House to the Minister ol Health (Mr. Nordmeyer). In a note on the question, Mr. Watts said that women s organisations were very concerned over the matter and were anxiously awaiting clarification of the position.
