SERVICE APPEALS
ARMED FORCES BOARD WANGANUI DECISIONS Appeals against general service and one month’s Territorial service were heard by the No. 6 (Wanganui) Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday. The personnel of the board comprised Messrs. F. Purnell (Marton), chairman; H. Adams (Wanganui), and A. P. Melville (Fordell). Appeals and decisions were:— S. J. Sullivan, junr., for T. G. Merrie, adjourned sine die; P. and T. Department, for L. W. Ginders, adjourn* ed to April 1; Education Department, for D. P. O'Connor, re-hearing, adjourned to April 1; Wanganui Harbour Board, for D. R. Simpson, adjourned sine die; Wanganui City Council, for S. T. Granville, dismissed, not to be called before April 1; New Zealand Railways, for W. P. Carvell, adjourned sine die; Polson Bros., for M. J. Cotterill, dismissed, not to be called before March 31; G. R. Park, for R. S. Campbell, adjourned sine die. | The following appeals against Territorial service were dealt with: New [Dominion Brushware Co., Ltd., for W. C. Wilson, postponed until February 29; L. Horrocks, adjourned sine die: W. G. Davison, for F. G. Davison, adjourned sine die; Fordell Timber Co., ■ for H. P. Hartley, postponed to Feb[ruary 1; Beacon Bacon Co., for H. T. i Donaldson, adjourned sine die; New [Zealand Refrigerating Co., for M. D. [Thomas, adjourned sine die; Wangainui Sash and Door Co., for A. J. Leach, adjourned sine die. The following applications for leave [from camp were dealt with: Wanganui Sash and Door Co., for M. Andrews. indefinite leave recommended; Mrs. W. C. Mair, for W. C. Mai-, indefinite leave recommended; R. F. Whyman, personal application (review) indefinite leave recommended.
