WOMEN’S BASEBALL
COMPETITION GAMES CONTINUED The first competition games of tht Wanganui Women’s Baseball Association since the holidays took place on the Gonville Domain on Saturday. In the first section Hinamoa defeated Dodgers, 7 to 4, and Amazons defeated Star. 13 to 3. In the second section Star defeated Hinernoa, 15 to 14, and Dodgers A defeated Dodgers B, 23 to 18. J. Dinnington scored a home run for Hinemoa against Dodgers and J. McLean also hit a home run for Amazons. The representative team practised during the week-end in preparation for the forthcoming match against Auckland on January 29. c’ition, and according to a member of the Gonville team ‘‘was as level and true as a billiard table.” The Ohakune rink was skipped by S. Thomas, and the Gonville rink comprised: Anderson. Carline, Richdale anil Mailman. The Taihape Club has the next challenge in for the trophy.
