U.S. PATROL SHIP SINKS
FORMER LUXURY YACHT Recd. 6 p.m. New York, Jan. 8. The Navy Department announced that the 1300-ton patrol-ship St. Augustine was sunk in a collision with a merchantman off Cape May, New Jersey. The St. Augustine, formerly the "palatial Woolworth yacht Noparo, was frequently used bv Barbara Hutton. The Noparo was built at Kiel at a cost of 1,250,000 dollors.
