SUBMARINE TRIDENT
CRUISE OF 26,000 MILES Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, Jan. 5. The British submarine Trident arrived in a northern harbour recently after the completion of an operational cruise of 26.000 miles which in twelve months took her from Nor.h Cape to th n Malacca Straits. Since iho outbreak of war ihc Trident. which apart from refits has been in the operational service continously, has sunk or severely damaged about 60.000 tons of shipping, and it damaged the German cruiser Prinz Eugene in February. 1942.- -8.0.W.
