SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. (0.C.) Taihape, Jan. 4. Favoured with fine weather the athletic sports held in Taihape on New Year's Day drew a large attendance. A lengthy programme was disposed of expeditiously and finishes in the majority o£ events were close. Results were as follow:—One and ahalf mile cycle: K. Clarke (210yds> 1, T. G. Philpotts (50) 2, P.
