Recd. 8 p.m. New York. Jan. 3. A Washington announcement says that American Army bombers operating in the North Pacific bombed the most northerly of the Kurile Islands, about 650 miles north of Japan proper and to the west of the American Aleutian Islands. AU the American planes returned safety.
