LIVING THROUGH IT GOEBBELS PEPS UP GERMANS. London. Goebbels, in his weekly article in Das Reich, said recently: “We Germans are not afraid of the enemy. We have on our side both the right and the might and we shall show them if need be. “In the present giant struggle there has been no belligerent country which has not passed through a seemingly deadly crisis. “The British lived through it after Dunkirk; the Bolsheviks at the time when our troops were about to. encircle Moscow, and the Amer.cans after Pearl Harbour and the loss of the Philippines. “It would be most remarkable if we Germans should he spared similar hard trials in this war. To put up with losses and reverses a certain training is required, and it is this training which we lack. “There is only one way to make a real end to the war and to return to true peace: that is a German victory. “Danger has given us undreamed of strength. The enemy is wrong if he believes that we are worn out and tired. “British and Americans have grown too bier for their shoes, but there is a limit to their growth. The enemy has drawn the sword against us and we shall force him to use the sword. We are not. afraid of him”
