PRESIDENT RESIGNS (P.A.) Wellington, Nov. 22. The resignation, for personal reasons, of Mr. Alex Gordon from th< position of president of the National Party is announced. Mr. Gordon tendered his resignation at a meeting of the Dominion executive committee. Members of the committee were unanimous in their expressions of appreciation of the services’ given to the organisation by Mr. Gordon over a number of years. Mr. G. H. Grigg Canterbury, a vice-president of the party, was elected acting chairman of the executive committee.\
