RIVALRY CEASES

GREEK GUERRILLA BANDS Recd. 6 p.m. London, Nov. 19. The clashes which broke out a month ago between Greek guerrilla bands have ceased, the rival organisation having realised that it was playing into German hands, says the Istanbul correspondent of The Times. There is a momentary lull in the operations, which the Germans initiated a fortnight, ago with the object of eliminating the guerrillas. A pitched battle lasted ten days between Germans and troops commanded by Colonel Vervass. The Germans suffered heavy losses, and although they hold sornefcroads the Greeks still control Mount Olympus and surrounding areas. YUGOSLAV WITHDRAWALS Recd. 6 p.m. London, Nov. 18. A communique from the Yugoslavia Army of Liberation says that Yugoslav troops have had to abandon three towns in Dalmatia after several days of heavy fighting. The communique also reports fresh concentrations of German forces in the Fiume area.
