CAPTAIN W. E. PARRY
COMMAND OF THE RENOWN. A naval officer well known to New Zealanders, Captain W. E. Parry, C. 8., is now captain of the?. battle-cruiser Renown. Captain Parry commanded the cruiser Achilles in the Battle of the River Plate, and from 1940 to 1942 was Chief of the Naval Staff and First Member of the Naval Board, Royal New'Zealand Navy, with the rank of commodore, second-class.
