NIXON CUP AND SHIELD FIXTURES.
At a meeting of the centre delegates held last night alternative schemes for the Nixon Cup, Senior and Willie Shield competitions were considered. It was decided that the Nixon Cup compettiion would be completed iu one day, each of the six city clubs playing all the others, the number ci teams ranging from five in the case ci the smaller club up to at Feast 20 in the case of the two large clubs. This competition will be played on December 11.
The Senior and Willis shields, played simultaneously, will commence in January, dates to be arranged by the Centre Match Committee. Wanganui and St. John’s will pla; all their shield games on one da>, Gonville and Wanganui East take two days and Victoria and Cosmopolitan three days.
