LET OFF LIGHTLY
(P.A.) Wellington, Oct. 2. “The maximum fine is £2OO, so you are let oft pretty .lightly,” said Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday in imnosing a fine of £lO upon Chatham Eria, labourer, who pleaded guilty to possessing a New Zealand battledress uniform without authority. The police said that Eria had obtained the uniform from another man and lent it to a third, who was found wearing it.
