( 1R KCH OF ENGLAND. The services of thanksgiving held throughout the parish for the capitulation of Italy were very well attended. At ft. Margaret's, Taihape, there was a splendid congregation of young people at the morning service and at the evening service the choir rendered the Te Dum. A service was also held at Holy Trinity, Utiku, and the congregation was large and representative. Arrangements for Youth Week, in conncct.’on with the campaign for Cniisticn Order, are well in hand. A strong committee has been, set up to organise several events which are to be held during that week, particularly a young people’s dinner to be held in (he parish hall, and followed by a lecture and Bible study. Other social activities are being arranged, and the rr-embers of the senior Bibb? Class aie making a thorough canvas of all Anglicans in the district. Special attention is being paid to the Sunday services which fall during Youth Week, arci ’each member who attends will receive a badge.
The St. Margaret’s branch of the Mothers’ Union is holding a corporate Communion on Wednesday (15th.), on the occasion of the world-wide wave of prayer for the work of the Mothers’ Union throughout the Empire.
