The United States Congress reassembled to-day. and both Houses are nrenared fnr a bi'ter battle over the drafting of American farmers Into th A forces. Reference was made to the Canadian announcement that . the horn'’ defence forces of the Dominion are to be reduced by 20.000 men in view of the reduced threat to the Aleutians and elsewhere. A correspondent says that the Canadian announcement was referred to bv the chairman of lhe Military Affairs Committee of the Senate ?s an irrefutable argument i against drafting farmers in the United States.
