JN pursance of the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, I, Charles Frederick Lundy, Returning Officer for the Patea Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the 25th day of September, 1943, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of Patea, simultaneously therewith a LICENSING POLL will be taken upon the following proposals:— NATIONAL CONTINUANCE. STATE PURCHASE AND CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals must be lodged with me not later than five o'clock in the afternoon of the 17th day of September, 1943. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 20th day of September, 1943, at the hour of eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in Hawera, publicly consider all nomination-papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll.
