Sergeant-Pilot J. B. Mander. who recently gained his wings, is spending a short leave with his parents. Mr. R. J. McGlone, who has been proprietor of the Grand Hotel for the past four years, is leaving Wanganui and last night was farewelled at a dinner given by his friends and business associates. For the gathering Mr. George Glenday made a presentation to Mr. McGlone and paid tribute to his popularity. Opportunity was taken to welcome Mr. A. Newton, the new proprietor.
