DEATH OF SEA SPI
(Special). Palmerston N., Aug. 30. Sea Spi, who was injured a week ago when she took fright and broke away from her attendant, died on Saturday morning. She started seven t.me-s last season as a two-year-old for three wins and four seconds, winning £1540 in stakes. In her last race she scored a brilliant victory in the Wellington Stakes. She was owned by Mrs. G. Lamb, of Wellington, and was trained by J. J. Waller at Awapuni.
