INTER-CLUB GAMES

REINSTATED BY WANGANUI BOWLING CENTRE A decision to reinstate the Nixon Cup, Senior and Willis Shields into club competitions, was made at the annual meeting of the Wanganui Bowling Centre last night. Mr. W. J. Stone presided. The committee rs to submit alternative schemes regarding the number of days that the competitions will take up. The question of bowling attire at tournaments was discussed and more strict adherence to the rule will be sought. Tne matter of trophies purchased on order was mentioned at the meeting, and the Dominion rule on this point will be enforced. The latter section of rule 15 defines a trophy is an article that can be kept by the player as a lasting memento. It was agreed to hold the Christmas and Easter tournaments. Open Pairs and Singles, Gordon Pairs, Champion-of-Champions, and Veterans’ Day. Three prizes will be allocated for the Christmas and Easter fixture. In the Open Pairs section play will be confined to one day. Election of Officers. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. W. J. Stone; vicepresident. Mr. C. Haworth; honorary secretary.
