VAST OFFENSIVE
COMING AGAINST JAPAN Reed. 6 p.m. Washington, Aug. 27. Tiie Secretary of the Navy, Colonel Frank Knox, at the Press conference, stressed the intimate co-operation, which would exist between Lord Mountbatten, Generals MacArthur and Harmon, and Admirals Halsey and Nimitz, The New York Herald Tribune’s Washington correspondent says that the implication is that a vast encircling offensive against Japan will be the concrete result o-f the Quebec conference.
