GOLF ACTIVITIES
CASTLECIAFF CLUB RESULTS Results of the bogey match, played by members of the Castlecliff Golf Club on Saturday, were:—F. Currie, 3 down; E. W. Merewether, 4 down; F. Wood, 5 down; T. Puddle, 5 down; H. Williams, 5 down; W. Hounsell, 6 down; H. Dean, 6 down; K. Hepburn, 6 down; W. Kendrick, 9 down. On Sunday the patriotic day in support of “Miss Victory’’ was well supported, over 70 entries being received. Altogether it was a very successful day and some good cards were returned. Following are the winners of the various events: Ladies’ Medal: Mrs. Webster, Fordell. Ladies’ Stableford, Miss Gordon. Men’s Medal, W. Kendrick. Men’s Stableford, J. Wilson. Medal: H. Dean. Next week-end the President v. Vice-President match will be played. WANGANUI LADIES’ CLUB For Baby G a most successful open day was held by the Wanganui Ladies' Golf Club on Wednesday. A medal round was played in the morning and in the afternoon a Canadian foursome. A well-stocked bring-and-buy stall with competitions were added attractions. The presdent and commotee are grateful to visitors and members who made the day so successful and to Mrs. Russell Grace for trophies tor the medal and the foursomes. Mrs. Goldsbury and A. Kellick handed in the best cards in the medal and in the foursome Mrs. and Mr. M. Hunter. Other competition winners were Mrs. A. Kellick, Mrs. Clachan (2), Miss M. Kellick, Mrs. Bell, Miss Burling and M. Hunter.
