VICTORIA CROSS
INVESTITURE CEREMONY AT RUATORIA (P.A.) Gisborne, Aug. 26. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, will visit the East Coast on. October 5 and 6 for the investiture ceremony, in connection with the award of the Victoria Cross to the late Lieut. Ngarimu, at Whakarua Park, Ruatoria. It is expected that between 6000 and 8000 will attend from all parts of the North Island. On October 5, Sir Cyril Newall will open Centennial memorial meeting houses at Tolaga Bay and Tokomaru Bay and the following day will hold an investiture at Ruatoria, preceded by a religious service conducted by
