STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE IN MEXICO CITY

Recd. 7 p.m. Mexico City, June 26. Four hundred Mexican National University students demonstrated for two hours against the United States as a protest against the Los Angeles “zootsuit” clashes. The students booed Senor Ezequiel Padilla, Ambassador to Washington, and began to march to the United States Embassy, but the police barred the approaches. The students hissed stores with American signs, applauded German sisns and jeered Americans. Anti-Padilla groups are stated to have played on the feelings of the students, but only 400 of 15,000 responded.
