MARTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL

COMBINED SPORTS SHIELD. (0.C.) Marton, March 17. The athletic sports for the combined swimming and athletic shield were held in the Marton school grounds on Wednesday afternoon in beautiful weather. There was a good attendance of parents and the general public, who were delighted with the performances of the pupils and congratulated the headmaster (Mr. A. W. Tucker) on the neat appearance of the school grounds and flower bods. Brown House won the shield for the third time, Green being runners-up for the combined sports, which they had previously twice won. Red. were the runners-up in athletics. The judges were Messrs. H Y. Cameron, A. Grade and G. Grey, members of the School Committee, and Mr. M. C. Amadio acted as starter and Mr. K. |B Harrod as marshal and announcer.
