DAILY INTERCESSION

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: And by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.”

Lord, hear our prayer for victory and deliverance, that men«may be free to take up the tasks of peace again. But help us to remember that we are called on to show that higher spirit of goodwill and faithfulness and finer reverence,by which alone the evils of the world can be overcome. Help us to labour in quiet and constant assurance that evil may be overcome by good. We thank Thee for all who by quiet constancy in well-doing and in humility of heart have shown us the spirit that makes for peace among men. as we thank Thee for those who so freely gave themselves that their fellow-men might have a fuller life of freedom. Give us wisdom from on high that we may follow after the things that make for peace and things whereby we may build up the lives of others. —Amen.
