“MAN WITH MUCKRAKE”

BROADCAST MENTIONED IN PARLIAMENT

(P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., March 18. Asking whether the radio feature “The Man with the Muckrake,” broadcast on Sunday night and repeated on Monday, had been made with the authority of the Government, Mr. W. J. Polson, in an urgent question to the Prime Minister, asked in the House of Representatives to-dav. for an assurance that such an extraordinary use of a public utility should not be repeated.

The Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, in reply, said the broadcast had been made with the full authority of the Minister of Broadcasting, with the approval of other members of the Government who had been consulted. On any and every occasion that nublic interest was served use would be made of the radio. It was considered the broadcast in question was a very capable piece of composition.
