RELEASE FROM ARMY

YOUTHS MAY RETURN TO CIVIL LIFE

(P.A.) Wellington, March 16. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, said to-day that arrangements had been made for the release from full-time Army service of youths of 18 and 19 years anxious to return to civil life. Those now in the Army who had volunteered for the Navy and the Air Force and others who wished to remain in the Army would not be affected. He said that under existing conditions it was not proposed to call into camp for full- 1 Imt service any youths of 18 or 19. Thus* in this category wishing to volunteer for service in the Navy or Air Force could do so. It is very desirable that those anxious to enter should submit applications without delay.
