HOTEL PORTER REMANDED
When he appeared before Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court, Wanganui, yesterday, on y charge of breaking and entering, and another of unlawful car conversion. Frederick William Huff, hotel portei. aged 23, was remanded to appear at Wanganui again on March 23. SeniorSergeant F. Culloty, who applied fox the remand, intimated that other charges were pending. Huff was charged with breaking and entering the dwelling of Barbara Annie Williamson. Wanganui, on February 10. and committing theft, and also with unlawfully converting a motor-car valued at £3OO, the property of Frank Harold Bell.
