ROUEN RAILWAY YARDS

Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, March 12. It is officially announced that Flying Fortresses of the United States Army Eighth Air Force attacked the railway yards at Rouen in daylight to-day. The weather was favourable and very good bombing results were obtained, with many bursts in the centre of the yards. The R.A.F., U.S.A.A.F., and Allied Spitfire squadrons escorted and covered the bombers, none of which was attacked by enemy aircraft.

Three enemy lighters were destroyed by Spitfires. None of our aircraft is missing.—B.O.W.
