LIGHT NAVAL FORCE
NIGHT RAID ON AXIS SHIP Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, Marct> 12. The Admiralty states that last night light coastal forces intercepted an enemy supply ship of medium size which was attempting to pass eastwards through the Straits of Dover. Although the ship was strongly escorted, hugging the French coast, a successful attack was made. Our forces returned safely. They suffered a few casualties and only superficial damage. The Admiralty report of the attack says that only a small amount of enemy shipping is now moving south from the Dutch coast to Brittany.— i 8.0.W.
