WOMAN’S FATAL INJURIES
CAR AND LORRY COLLIDE (P.A.) Auckland, March 1. Fatal injuries were suffered by Mrs. Margaret Troughton, married woman, when a car in which she was travelling collided with a motortruck at an intersection at Mangere at 10.30 this morning. The driver, Robert Troughton, retired farmer, of Papakura, and his daughter Doris, aged 26. suffered injuries and abrasions, the daughter being taken to hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured, although the vehicle travelled a considerable distance after the accidinet and ended up in a hedge. The car was extensively damaged.
