HOME GUARD ACTIVITIES
RANGE PRACTICES TO-MORROW A Company of the Wanganui Home Guard Battalion will parade at the rifle range to-morrow to fire a mltsketrv practice, and Headquarters Company will parade at the Putiki range. B* Company will provide butt parties. The range officer will be Lieut. R. Sewell. The remainder of the battalion will not parade. Weekly meetings of officers will be held at* battalion headquarters on Monday night. N.C.O.’s meet at Thain’s Buildings. A lecture will be p.iyen on platoon tactics by Sergt. F. Killeen. The usual night parades in respective areas will be held during the week.
Units of the Gonville Battalion will parade in their respective are.as next week, A and D Companies, medical and intelligence platoons on Tuesday, C Company and Signallers on Wednesday, and petrol guards tomorrow, at their respective stations. The next Sunday parade will be on Sunday, February 28. Officers and n.c.o.’s will meet at battalion headquarters -on Monday night.
