NEW U.S. AIR COMMANDER
Rugby, Feb. 15. The appointment of Major-General Ira C. Eaker as commander of the Eighth U.S. Army Air Force was announced to-day by the United States War Department. Major-Gen. Eaker takes the place of Gen. Carl Spaatz, who has gone to North Africa as a member of the staff of the Allied Force.—B.O.W.
