GERMAN WITHDRAWAL
(Recd. 1.5 a.m.) London, Feb. 17. The latest reports from Tunisia state that fighting is going on in the Sidi Bousid area following the withdrawal of the German tank force which struck towards Sbeitala.
The new Allied line resulting from the German thrust to Gafsa still pivots from the head of the Ousseltia Valley, with the lower extremity northward of Gafsa. The Germans are now making an effort to gain the ridges westward and eastward of the valley.
