REGENT THEATRE
Real variety entertainment is offered in the mid-week double-feature programme at the Regent Theatre today. There is a creep in every foot of “The Mummy’s Tomb,” the main feature. Lon Chaney is a mummy kept alive for about 3000 years, and his destiny is to avenge the violation of an Egyptian tomb. He is not entirely successful, but he is responsible for horror of the rinest variety. The associate feature, "Give Out, Sisters.” is a musical show that goes along with a swing. The Andrew Sisters, supported by a strong cast, are chietlv responsible for its success. It. contains a number of song hits. The supporting shorts include several topical items which eive a graphic insight into phases of the war.
