SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs. Fowler, Bunnythorpe, is visiting Wanganui. Private Mary Croom has returned to Wanganui after two weeks spent in Wellington. Mrs. Lionel Spencer, Taumarunui, is visiting her mother, Mrs. H. Robson, Benefield Street. Mr. and Mrs. William C. Curtis? Selwyn Street, are paying a visit to Auckland. Miss Freda Galpin, of Marton, who has been visiting Miss Duncan, Durie Hill, has returned home. Misses Betty and Penryhn Hutton, College Street, were week-end visitors to Hawera. Mrs. F. A. Bates, Liverpool Street, has left for a few days’ visit to Palmerston North. Mrs. G. M. Mackay and Miss Irma Mackay are Wanganui visitors to Napier. Mrs. Bergen and her daughter. Miss Thelma Bergen, Maria Place Extension, have left for a visit to Auckland. Mrs. E. F. McGowan, of Timaru, who has been staying for some time with her mother, Mrs. F. A. Bates, Liverpool Street, has returned to the South Island. Miss Vera Hirons, general secretary of the Y.M.C.A.-Y.W.C.A., Wanganui, has returned after visiting Whangarei. .Miss Muriel Morrison, Masterton, is visiting Wanganui as the guest 01 Mrs. T. In. Hay Campbell, St. John’s Hill. Over 60 members of branches of Mothers’ Unions in the Vvaitotara Archdeaconry Group will journey to Koriniti to-aay to attend a gathering uO oe held there, i'ney leave Wanganui at 8 a.m., returning .in the evening.
