BOY DROWNED WHILE LEARNING TO SWIM
, (P.A.) Stratford. Dec. 29. Drifting into deep water while learning to swim Kingstone Gianvilie i Reeve, aged 14, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Reeve. Inglewood, was i drowned in the Waiongona River yesterday afternoon, after rescue efforts j by an older brother, Eric Reeve, had Iben unsuccessful. The former was teaching himself to swim in shallow water by holding on to a rock and working his legs, hut > drifted from the rock into eight feet of water. Resuscitation efforts, continued for an hour and a-half, failed.
