DEATH OF GEORGE JONES TRAINED SASANOF FOR MELBOURNE CUP (Recd. 6.5 p.m.) Sydney. Dec. 29. The death is announced of George Jones, formerly a well-known trainer in Sydney and Melbourne, rle came from New Zealand to Australia in 1916 and won the Melbourne Cup for, Messrs. Stead and Luttrell with Sasanof and the A.J.C. Derby with Kilboy. Later he made oth« r trips from New Zealand with Nigger Minstrel (for Mr. T. H. Lowry), Commendation (for Mr. W. H.
