UNFINISHED BUSINESS . .

A little over three years ago Adolf Hitler started something he can’t finish but WE can. It took three years of bitter losses and grievous blows before our full strength could be massed . . . before we could begin to pay back blow for blow with interest. In November, 1942, we began repayment. But we have only just begun. For the fighting men of the United Nations a long and heavy road lies ahead. Now, of all times, there can be no relaxing for them. If this is true of the fighting men. it is equally true of us. Here, on the home front, we must spare no effor. to make each blow more telling than the last.
