ADMITTED TO PROBATION
FORMER TOWN CLERK AT OHAKUNE (P.A.) Wellington, Dec. 15. Samuel Torepe, former town clerk at Ohakune, aged 39. was admit ted to probation for twelve months by Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court on charges of forgery, uttering, theft as a servant and false pretences. The Judge said the offences were
all of a trivial description. Prisoner was ordered to make restitution and pay costs. The amount involved was about £SO.
