WANGANUI CONTRIBUTIONS Wanganui contributions towards the National Patriotic Fund Board's appeal for £1,000,000 now totals £17,772 14s lid. The Wanganui district quota is £20,000, of which the city area has to provide £12,000. Contributions are acknowledged as under: —Previously acknowledger, £17,653 19s 9d; H. J. Trussell's concert (on acount), £36; G. H. Handley, £10; Aotea Maori Women’s Patriotic Association, £7 19s 8d; “Anonymous,” £7 17s 6d; Wanganui Women’s Club, £7 12s 6d; Robert Laird, £5 ss; Mrs. B. U. McKenzie, Mr. B. U. McKenzie, Mrs. Russell, “Anonymous,” Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Lean, £5 each; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wellard, £4; McCullock Bros., £3 3s; E. H. R. Nicholls, £2 10s; H. L. Jones, G. K. James, R. J. Lord, £2 each; R. J. Mogridge, J. O’Reilly, £1 each; A. R. Laird (bond), 17s 6d; Mrs. Remington, 10s.—Total, £17,772 14s lid.
