FEWER IN AUCKLAND (P.A.) Auckland, Oct. 13. “I am happy to be able to tell you that there are fewer cases than usual for your consideration,” said Mr. Justice Fair, addressing the grand jury at the opening of the criminal sessions in the Supreme Court to-day. “There are 14 charges against 16 persons and the charges are less serious than usual. The average at the quarterly sessions in Auckland is more than 20.”
