WAITOTARA PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE
Recently the Waitotara Patriotic Committee met and 19 parcels were forwarded to men serving overseas. Army men in the district were entertained at a dance and social evening, the proceeds going to local patriotic funds The women’s committee forwarded to the Wanganui zone 28 balaclavas, eight pairs of mittens, four pairs of sox. and one scarf Private S. Wilson, of Nukumaru, will he the guest of honour at a social gathering on Thursday. Mrs. Blackie has a quantity of wool available for knitters. ' '
