SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mrs. Kersley and Miss Kersley. of Lower Hutt, have been visiting Wanganui. Mrs. Fred Woollams has returned to Wanganui after visiting Wellington and Wairarapa. Miss Shirley Campion. “Okirae,” Fordell, has been staying with Mrs. F. P. Taiboys, Grey Street. Mrs. M. Fisher. Wanganui, is visiting her mother, Mrs. J. Campbell, at Eltham. Miss Kathleen Danetree, England, examiner for the Royal Academy of Dancing, who arrived at Auckland recently from Australia, ar.d has been visiting the northern districts, will arrive in Wanganui to-day. Her duties as examiner for dancing will occupy at least two full days in Wanganui. Alter visiting Palmerston North and Wellington she will journey to Hawek’s Bay, Gisborne, and Christchurch. ENGAGEMENT Dickie— Simmons.—The engagement is announced of Cynthia, youngest daughter of Dr. W. T. Simmons, “Wallace,” Patea, and the late Mrs. Simmons, to Lieut. Maurice Dickie, N.Z. Tank Brigade, third son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Dickie, “Hayes,” Waverley.
