New York, Sept. 26. “Chalky" Wright (8.13.1) retained the world featherweight title, gaining a 15-round decision over Lulu Constantino (8.13). The veteran heavyweight Bob Pastor gained a 10-round decision over Buddy Scott. LOUIS-CONN BOUT CANCELLED Washington, Sept. 25. Mr. H. L. Stimson, United States Secretary of War, has cancelled the Louis-Conn heavyweight fight, which was scheduled for October 12. Mr. Stimson explained that the standards and interest of the army did not permit the proposed contest being carried out. Sergeant Barrow (Joe Louis) and Corporal Conn would be returned immediately to military duties. The army appreciated what Louis had done in the past. He had generously contributed his efforts to the army and the navy without return.
