GERMANY PREPARES FOR R.A.F. MASS BOMBING

London, Sept. 3. Berlin defences are being reorganised in expectation of R.A.F. mass raids. The Times’ correspondent on the German frontier says. The R.A.F. has not. raided Berlin since November 7, 1941. A Berlin radio report of a raid in April was not confirmed in London. Berlin reorganisation moves include: 1. Gestapo and Nazi S.S. Guards are displacing Berlin police and civilian raid wardens. A.R.P. towers are being erected throughout one suburb, and at Stettiner railway station. 3. The whole system of A.A. gun emolacpments is being changed to make R.A.F. information obsolete. 4. Wooden barracks aii l being built on vacant land near BeHin for housing bombed-out neoole. R.A.F. raids on Germany have rendered 1,000,000 German homeless, the correspondent adds.
