BATTLES WITH AXIS FORCES (Recd. 10 p.m.) London, Sept. 24. An Ankara message says that travellers report that battles between General Mikhailoviteh’s forces and German-Croat troops resulted in the Belgrade-Zagreb railway being pul out of action since September 19. The alternative long detour through Hungary must now be taken. Large-scale fighting is occurring over a large area.
