PLANE PRODUCTION

UNITED NATIONS’ LEAD OVER AXIS (R/’ccl. 8.55.) Los Angles, Sept. 25. The combined warplane production of Britain and America in September will exceed the total output of Germany, Italy and Japan by 25 per cent., according to Merrill Meigs, a War Production Board official who arrived with the British Air Mission. Mr. Aexander Dunbar, British Aircraft Ministry official, declared: “Your Lockheed-Hudson bomber has been a Godsend to us in the last two years, and the Curtis’ Kittyhawk fighters for the Middle East.
